On the 28 th of May, 2009 the talk show "The new generation of PR-specialists on the Ukrainian market. Who will win: the founders or the new comers?" took place during the 10 th Kyiv International Advertising Festival. The event was held by the Ukrainian PR-Alliance (UPRA).

Participants of the talk show shared with their opinions on subject issues about Ukrainian PR-market in general and the issue of "the founders and the new comers"on the PR-market particularly.
The talk show was attended by general managers and CEOs of Ukrainian and foreign PR-agencies, students and young professionals.

The moderator of the talk show was Valeriy Kureyko - the CEO of the Publicity Creating Company, the Vice-President of Ukrainian PR-alliance.

For instance, Rouslana Plis believes that the Ukrainian PR consists of "the senior" and "the new" generations of Pr-specialists. Their approaches in dealing with PR-tasks differ.

Among the main advantages of specialists who work on the market since the end of 90th years, experts named an experience and an ability to solve problems in difficult situations, but among advantages of the new generation - more substantive and systematic education, as well as a desire to apply new means in their job. At the same time, it was noted that the new generation of PR-specialists is unsystematic in solving PR-objectives.

Almost all participants agreed that there are no quarrels "between the founders and the new comers” of the Ukrainian PR-market. Rouslana Plis drew attention to the importance of understanding of common interests by all market members. She also marked the necessity in making common rules so that the competition became clear.

Speakers also talked about the importance of consolidation of PR-market in order to response the new demands. It is noteworthy that the event was attended by members of all three PR-market organizations - UAPR, PR-League and UPRA, which can be considered as an example of such consolidation.

In conclusion, Valeriy Kureyko marked the influence of foreign PR-specialists on the Ukrainian PR-market, and the ability of Ukrainian PR professionals to influence on the European market in the future. Several experts expressed the point of view that Ukrainian specialists have already reached the required level of "maturity" and, in general, are not inferior to foreign.
