 The Publicity Creating Company in participation with the Institute of Advertising studied amounts of paid articles in Ukrainian mass media. This study was held out for the first time in Ukraine.



 The Publicity Creating Company in participation with the Institute of Advertising studied amounts of paid articles in Ukrainian mass media. This study was held out for the first time in Ukraine.


During the research was carried out monitoring of 22 periodicals (14 business and 8 general press) for the period from January 1 to June 30, 2007.


Monitoring included pre-paid PR-information (articles, notes and reports that can be clearly identified as advertising of an appropriate column on the rights of advertisements, labels and other design elements).


Results of the research are:
•  About 1.5 million U.S. dollars are collected from paid articles during the 1st half of 2007 (more than 185 columns).
•  The volume of paid articles in the popular press for the same period exceeds 4.2 million U.S. dollars (more than 455 columns).
•  The total budget of pre-paid articles for the half of 2007 in the analized business and popular magazines was more than 5 million 700 thousand U.S. dollars (more than 640 columns).
Thus, the annual toll of pre-paid articles in business and popular magazines is more than 11 million 400 thousand U.S. dollars.
