Let’s dwell on the advantages of online-conferences.



I suggest to dwell on the advantages of online – conferences, which significantly distinguish from any other media- event in respect to organization, realization and feedback based on results. Well, let’s start from events' organization. In case of "classical" media-event, whether it be press conference or round table discussion, it is essential to spend a lot of effort and time on working over mass media list and journalist invitations. Then in case of Internet- conferences it is ample to make an announcement in the press and distribute it among crucial mass media (it will be a good practice also to promote it in social media).  On the platform, where the Internet conference will be held, announce is a priori placed.

It is interesting, that in hall, where Internet-conferences are held, usually journalists are absent (in person) –it is implied, that all comers (which includes representatives of mass media) can watch and listen to the talk in on-line mode. It closes a difficult issue of journalist attendance on the action. At the same time the audience that can be grasped, by far increases, or even by a factor of hundreds.

Compare by yourself – even on full house press conference no more than 60 people are gathered – but the amount of page views of Internet conferences can be worked out to 1000 and more in a day of its holding.

One important point – the choice of the platform. It must be a top-rated resource, which perfectly demonstrates in request in search systems and has high attendance. Then- You could use the advantages of the events realization precisely on such portal. If the platform is less popular (for example, specialized resource) , so you must be prepared to replicate results of Internet- conference  by yourself, in order to grasp more audience. In both cases – Internet conferences as a way to bring up the information ( site, social media platforms, YouTube channels and so on) work equally well.

In right event moderation, Internet-conference speakers always have an opportunity to unfold subject and avoid sharp questions. The event itself usually engross 1 hour. At the same time handouts, registration of journalists etc. are absent, which also optimize costs of organizing company.

Most of the speakers are «afraid» of Internet conferences, because of online mode. As the matter of fact, during usual media event we deal with the «live broadcast», when all of said can be used immediately. In contrary, during Internet- conferences, speaker has more opportunities to prepare and to get oneself together. In any case speakers' preparation was not canceledJ I.e., to Internet conference you must prepare just as to any other press event.

One more advantage of Internet- conference in most cases, in following up, company gets a video( or video fragments) with speakers answers, which could be used on the own site, on YouTube or as a reference  to post-event press release from mail out.
